Woodlands Academy Redevelopment
Building a sustainable future for Woodlands Academy with Galliford Try.
An exciting new project at Woodlands Academy in Scarborough...
We are proud to be starting our latest project in collaboration with Galliford Try Construction at Woodlands Academy in Scarborough. This exciting redevelopment project will bring a new, L-shaped, two-story school building to life, specifically designed to meet the needs of a special educational needs (SEN) school.
Currently, the steelwork is undergoing fabrication. We are also applying 60-minute fire protection to the steel in-house. This fire protection will be crucial in ensuring the safety and durability of the structure. The project will require a total of 140 tons of steel, demonstrating the scale of the work involved.
The construction on-site is set to begin at the start of November, and we are eager to see this important project take shape.
What makes this development even more exciting is its focus on sustainability. The new school building is designed to help combat climate change by minimising energy demand and incorporating low-carbon and renewable energy solutions. This aligns with SCH Site Services’ dedication to supporting environmentally responsible construction.
We look forward to seeing the positive impact this new building will have on the students and staff at Woodlands Academy, and we are proud to be part of a project that not only supports education but also contributes to a greener future.
