Expansion Completed at Glaxo factory in Barnard Castle
The 150te of steelwork for the expansion at GlaxoSmithKline, Barnard Castle has now been fully fabricated and erected.
The structure which included the structural steel frame and its secondary steel platforms and staircases has provided a Cold Store “J block” for the Pharmaceutical giant to house its products. This new build will pave the way for the next phase giving GSK a huge storage facility for other new products.
SCH won the contract through competitive tender with Interserve in Stockton. The structure fabricated from mainly column and beam but with a truss roof.
The steelwork was designed by Pittilla Bell Consulting.
The facility will be opened mid 2017
